Prepare or Purchase a First Aid Kit And Create a List of Emergency Numbers

A well prepared first aid kit should have an arsenal of emergency items including antihistamines, mild soap, Aloe Vera, band aids, antiseptic, antibacterial ointment and and any other emergency essential that is appropriate for a baby. Preparing a list of emergency contacts that include your local emergency number and poison control.

NEVER Leave Your Baby or Child Unattended

It only takes seconds for an accident or an emergency to happen. Parents should not leave their children alone for too long. Make sure to be aware of your child and where they’re at all times.

Learn How To Stop Choking In Your Infant

Take one of our online courses to learn how to properly stop choking in any age group. To stop your newborn from choking, you must perform five back blows between the infant’s shoulder blades. You will then flip the baby over and perform 5 infant chest compressions in the middle of your child’s chest. Repeat until the item comes out or the baby becomes unconscious.
